253 Markham Road Condos is a new condo development by Build Toronto Inc., located at 253 Markham Rd, Scarborough, ON. Currently, in its planning phase, this mixed-use development is expected to feature two towers (Standing at 9 and 11 storeys each) containing a total of 431 residential units. The estimated date of occupancy is yet to be finalised.
The plan started initially as the City of Toronto acquired the lands for the expressway of Scarborough, but it has ended up as an opportunity for several new developments. Initial plans by Build Toronto present affordable housing solutions by building a low-rise and mid-rise construction.The Idea is to create an affordable housing program that will assist first-time home buyers in purchasing a townhome in this development.
This Scarborough condominium development will occupy six acres at the corner of Markham Road and Dunelm Street. It will contain a total of 431 residential units, anchored by a one-acre park with a walking trail and seating alcoves, where community members can relax, stroll and socialize.
